Waitaki Hostel has had a great start to 2024.

We have welcomed new staff and students in all year levels and are excited to have students from Japan, Thailand and Brazil.

The first weekend was a chance for the girls to get to know each other and explore Oamaru. We had a trip to Loch Laird on Waitangi Day, where the girls spent a fair bit of time behind the boats on biscuits. Thank you to the parents who came along and supported the girls and supplied the boats.

This past weekend, the girls spent time at the harbour, seal and penguin watching on Saturday and Sunday, had a trip to Kakanui Beach. We were lucky enough for the Tartonne family to join us and bring horses. Thank you Kara and family. The girls had a great time.
