In the Mathematics Learning Area we spent 3 days undertaking a series of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) challenges;

building a structure to support a marshmallow using just spaghetti, firing a ping pong ball the furthest, creating the longest bridge, designing a 10 second timer and of course the old favourite of the great egg drop!

The girls also designed and built a marble run to keep a marble travelling for as long as possible, they created art from paper and string using geometry, designed a pendulum wave and used measurement and geometry to make, package and advertise sweet treats.
