Mrs V Lilley, HoL, Science —

The Year 9 classes travelled to the Forrester Gallery to view the Oceans exhibit, as part of their Science work.

Our STEAM incorporates: Science, Technology, Environment, Art and Mathematics, and this trip was designed to get the students thinking about the crossover between all of these disciplines. The exhibit incorporates the work of 21 artists, working alongside the Cawthorn Institute, Landcare research, NIWA and the University of Otago Marine Sciences Centre.

Students completed a treasure hunt around the gallery, while exploring the Science behind the Art. Many thanks to the Staff who accompanied the students on this trip; Mrs Gower, Miss Gilder and Mrs McLean and Liz King for her work with the students.
