Science Fair Project

Mrs H Ambler, Science Teacher —

The Year 10 non-campers completed Science Fair projects over the last week.

They undertook a hugely varied array of projects from looking at how concentration affected the size of the froth when making elephant’s toothpaste, what is the best way to keep ice from melting to what happens to a deep sea ‘blobby fish’ when it’s brought to the surface. A special mention goes to Neave Meikle, Jemma Allen and Maddison Mavor who enlisted the help of their pets to test how they responded to different types of music, also to Olive Haywood and Grace Brydges for their investigation into taste and smell. But I awarded the most innovative project to the girls that investigated what was the best lip balm (shown in the picture below). Well done to all of the girls.
