On Wednesday, 2nd August, 15 of our year 9 and 10 students travelled to Timaru to compete in the annual Aoraki Mathletics competition.

We entered 3 year 9 teams and 2 teams into the year 10 competition. Our year 10 numbers were reduced by sickness so both teams were supplemented on the day with year 9s having another go at the higher level.

Our Year 9 team of Peyton Cranston, Sophia Bayne, Gracie O’Sullivan and Ruby Drummond were = 2nd at the end of their competition - they finished 4th after the tiebreak.

The team of Winnie Conlan, Zoe Denize, Olivia Morriss and Peyton Cranston were 2nd in the Year 10 competition.

All of the students were an absolute pleasure to spend time with and they are to be congratulated on their efforts.
