A word on calculators ….
As students move into the senior school a graphics calculator becomes a vital part of the toolbox in Mathematics as it allows students to do the higher order thinking and not lose valuable time getting caught up in the calculations.
We are aware that graphics calculators are an expensive purchase but there are some ‘work arounds’.
- There may be some graduating students who wish to sell their calculators - we could help broker some deals.
- Looking on ‘Trade Me’ can yield some real bargains at this time of year and early in the new year.
- Otherwise, the links below will take you to a NZ based company that offers much reduced prices than retail - you may have to act quickly as stock does move quite fast. The ‘refurbished’ models or ‘open box’ are still high quality and totally fit for purpose. Christmas is coming!!!
