June recipient: Emily Taylor

Emily has been umpiring Netball since Year 7 and regularly travels to Dunedin to umpire Premier A, B and C grades in the weekends as well us umpiring for North Otago Netball.

She is also the WGHS Umpire Coordinator, tasked with allocating umpires for interschools and tournaments.

In June Emily had 2 notable achievements in her umpiring career.

At the recent Otago Secondary Schools Netball Tournament she was selected to umpire the Year 10 final between Columba College and St Hilda’s Collegiate.

This month Emily also gained her Zone practical, a qualification which only one other umpire in North Otago has. She is now working towards sitting her NZ Theory in September.
