Year 11 students were busy last Friday collecting data to investigate the feasibility of where to locate a Kmart store in Oamaru.

The girls spent Friday's lesson looking at the four sites around town, and assessing the pros and cons of each location. They undertook traffic flow surveys and are in the process of surveying people to find out what people in Oamaru think is the best site. Back in class, girls will be using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) to manipulate maps online to help them decide the best site.
