Sei Tiare’s Fiefia Night

Ms Hull —

By 5pm on Tuesday 19th September, the noise levels in the Rec Centre were starting to rise with many excited students, frantic whanau getting their children into their fabulous outfits, teachers and co-ordinators getting students into the correct lines on the floor and MCs starting to practice their lines.

At just after 5pm, it was all go - the 9th year of the North Otago Pasifika Cluster Fiefia Night was under way. The first acts provided such joy to the audience as the young students from Pembroke, Fenwick, Te Pakihi O maru, St. Joseph’s, Weston and first timers, Glenavy entertained with their enthusiasm and positivity. Then OIS came to the stage with such colour, energy and passion. Sei Tiare’s were the first of the secondary schools to perform, then St Kevins and finally Waitaki Boys’ ended the night with their upbeat and lively performance. Once again, a huge thank you goes out to Mele, Pele, our drummers, and our fabulous and loyal supporters. We would also like to thank Shannon Moore, President of the North Otago Pasifika Cluster for her dedication to ensuring that this huge community event runs smoothly.
