Question: Where did you come from before WGHS?

Answer:

“I started at WGHS as a student and then I moved down to Otago Uni where I studied a bachelor of science, majoring in Zoology and Geography. Then I ended up getting a job at South Otago Highschool and I was there for two years in 2020 and 2023. In between that, I was at Taieri College. But all roads lead to home!”

Question: What is your role?

Answer:

“Currently it is just as a science and biology teacher for year 9s, year 11s and year 12s”

Question: How are things so far at WGHS?

Answer:

“Really good! The girls are just lovely and I've never been in such a quiet classroom where they just sit and listen to you. All the staff have been supportive and kind. It was a bit weird at first working with lots of my teachers”

Question: Why did you choose WGHS?

Answer:

“I needed a change and had been wanting to move home for a bit. And the timing was just perfect.

Question: What do you hope to achieve in your time at WGHS?

Answer:

“I am excited to have all girls and be able to empower them and show them that they can do whatever they set their minds to. I suppose I should teach them science as well!
