On Wednesday seven students went to the Women in Trades Seminar in Timaru.

The students had the opportunity to listen to a panel of trades people from a variety of industries. Then they had the opportunity to speak with representatives from Building / Construction, Refrigeration, Electrical, Truck Driving, Plumbing, Headford Propagation, Rio Tinto – Aluminium, Fonterra, Groundspreaders / Rural transport, Civil Engineering, Painters, Tilers, Police etc.

This was a great opportunity for our students to find out about Trades they had never considered. The students came away motivated and inspired by the people presenting information about their specialist trades.
