This event took place in Oamaru on Sunday 5th March as part of the Oamaru Triathlon and Duathlon. Waitaki Girls had a total of 6 competitors participating in various grades and events and all went extremely well on a chilly and sometimes wet day. This competition is open to all secondary school students in the South Island.

Results:

Senior Individual Duathlon – Georgia Hawkins – 1st in Aoraki and 2nd in South Island

Intermediate Individual Duathlon – Natalie Bedford – 2nd in Aoraki and 4th in South Island

Intermediate Individual Triathlon – Grace Brydges – 1st in Aoraki and 8th in South Island

Intermediate Teams Duathlon – Phoebe Farmer and Phoebe Wickham – 1st in Aoraki and 1st in South Island

Junior Individual Duathlon – Kate Farmer – 2nd in Aoraki and 4th in South Island
