Year 12 Biology students are learning about cells, and today they explored the properties of cell membranes by creating bubbles.

These super strong bubbles have similar properties to the membranes which surround animal cells so students were able to act as proteins passing through the membranes, make moveable holes in their bubbles, and could explore how cells divide and grow. The comment of the day goes to one student who exclaimed “I feel like a wizard!”.
