Last Thursday Learning Centre pupils visited the Forrester Gallery to view two exhibitions - Earth Caught in Stone and Maritza Boutique.

The Maritza Boutique exhibition celebrates the creative design work of the local fashion collective Maritza Boutique while the exhibition Earth Caught in Stone explores the formation of rock and past life over geological time, under pressure and constant change. Once again Gallery staff put on a wonderful morning for us, both educational and hands on which everyone greatly enjoyed. The girls participated in several interactive activities including designing their own paper doll fashion outfit, creating a penguin mask and decorating their own stone to add to the Gallery's Glacier to the Sea installation.
