Thanks to James & Paula Symes at LJ Hooker Oamaru, we have another voucher to give away to a deserving sportsperson in our school.

WGHS Sportsperson of the month for October is Ashley Nicholson.

During the Term 3 holidays, our trapshooting team competed in the North Island and NZ Secondary School Trapshooting Champs. Ashley came away with some fantastic placings in the preliminary results, including being awarded High Overall Girls, a National Title in Girls Single Rise, 2nd place in Points Score and 3rd in Skeet. The WGHS team also won their event at both the South Island and NZ Secondary School Competitions and placed 2nd at the North Island event.
