Welcome back to term three!

Rebecca Dorsey —

It’s crazy how fast the year is going. Many of the year thirteens have been preparing for next year by applying for courses and scholarships. It all seems a bit unreal that we are finishing our last year at school forever!

Term three is a busy time, especially for seniors. It is crucial to remember to stay on top of your schoolwork so you aren’t left feeling stressed. I encourage everyone to look after their well-being by doing something for your mind, body and soul every day. Moderation is key and it is important we all finish the year feeling proud of what we have accomplished and we are in the correct mindset to enjoy our summer holidays!

Something that I’m really looking forward to is organising the Blue Light, which hasn’t happened in about three years due to Covid. Blue Light is a year nine and ten event run by the police and supported by the Blue Committee which is made up of year 12 and 13 students from each high school. Blue Light is a great opportunity for the younger year groups to socialise in a positive, safe and alcohol-free atmosphere, and it’s a way to stay connected and meet friends from other high schools. I know I always loved going to these events, so I’m so glad we are starting them up again! For more information, get your daughter to follow us on.
