We are holding our biennial School Gala on Friday 24th March from 3.30pm - 6.30pm.

The Gala is the major fundraiser organised by the Waitaki Girls’ Community Association to help support the school with projects that cannot be funded any other way. This year we hope to support any activities that enhance the lives of our students outside of the classroom; for example sports, culture, events and the school grounds.

Each whanau class, and other groups, are busy organising stalls, food and entertainment. Our major goal, alongside raising money of course, is to spend time together as a community in a relaxed setting where we can maybe learn a little more about the people that make up Waitaki Girls’ High School, Oamaru and beyond.

Raffle cards should have come home this week. We have a wide range of prizes and hampers kindly donated by our local community and we will send out more details about these next week. Tickets are $2 and there are 10 tickets per card. It would be amazing if every whanau could sell one card. Once full the tickets and cash can be returned to the school office - there will be more cards available if you are able to sell more tickets.
