After the cancellation of the 2020 Maadi and 2021 South Island Champs due to COVID, it was a nervous lead up for our crew for the 2021 Maadi Cup

Thankfully all systems were go!

The WGHS team consisting of 3 crews, travelled to Lake Karapiro for the week long Maadi festival over Summer Tournament Week.

The crews, listed below, along with reserve Kayla Hay have been training hard both on and off the water all season, competing for Oamaru Rowing Club and WGHS. Maadi Cup is the last and pinnacle event of the secondary school rowing calendar.

All 3 crews made it through the heats to B Finals.
