Jenny Strachan, President of WGCA addressed the Students at Assembly today. Below is her message

I, and the WGCA would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the families and wider community who helped make our Gala a success this year.  I would also like to thank our Whānau teachers and all of the Waitaki Girls' students for your great projects at the Gala. It was fantastic to see your smiling faces.

The focus for this years' Gala was to help fundraise to support any activities that enhance the lives of our students outside of the classroom such as sports, cultural events, and maintenance of the school grounds.

We raised approximately $12,000.00.   What an amazing achievement.
