Our combined Kapa Haka group have started this term with a performance opening the North Otago Sports awards ceremony.

This year we celebrated Children’s Book Day with a Stop, drop and read, Book Bingo, Design a Book Cover and of course the costume competition.

We were joined by Waitaki Boys' Year 11 Ag class for a day out talking to farmers and NOIC about the importance of farming types of where they are located.

On the Kōkōkaha sailing experience we learned so much and had an amazing time.

After the cancellation of the 2020 Maadi and 2021 South Island Champs due to COVID, it was a nervous lead up for our crew for the 2021 Maadi Cup

13 Waitaki students travelled to the SISS Athletics in Chch over the weekend with some great results.

On Thursday 11th March, three Waitaki volleyball teams headed to Timaru for the Aoraki Championships. Most other teams had been playing regularly in the Timaru competition at nights so it was good to see that our teams were very competitive in this competition.

On March 19, a keen bunch - full of anticipatory nerves - headed up to Christchurch for the South Island secondary schools' Touch tournament.

Early on a Sunday morning in March, 22 Year 12 PE students and 5 adults left Oamaru to travel to Wanaka for tramping and adventure based learning activities.
