It is often said that the best way to learn is by doing, and so, to get a better understanding of their new topic, Year 13 History completed their own re-creation of the 1612 Pendle Witch Trial.

From the 1st to the 3rd July the 40 Hour Famine group at Waitaki Girls' worked hard to complete the 40 hour famine.

The Year 9 speech competition was held on 4 July this term.

Over 2 days 7 students attended the Model EU at the University of Otago with students from Waitaki Boys’ and 10 other schools from around Otago.

Next term, the Waitaki Girls High School's Amnesty International group for 2022 is preparing for the annual Freedom Challenge week which is being held from August the 8th to the 12th.

Year 9 Tui took part in the NZ Garden bird survey, quietly moving around campus as citizen Scientists, counting the birds they found.

Congratulations to the girls who so positively represented the school at the Lions Speech Competition last weekend.
