Do you currently live outside our school zone with a child who already attends Waitākiri and have a new entrant child due to start school in 2024? From term 2 2024, these new entrant children WILL NOT have automatic entry to Waitākiri. A ballot will be held each term with a limited number of new entrant places available. We are unable to accept any other year groups from out of zone.

To check our school enrolment zone please visit out website www.waitakiri.school.nz, Our Information, Enrolments. There will be a limited number of new entrant out of zone places available each term. These places will likely be taken up by siblings of current students.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you now live out of zone and have a new entrant child who you wish to attend Waitākiri. Please contact the school office to receive an out of zone application form to go into the out of zone ballot. A list of ballot dates is included in this newsletter. No late applications can be accepted.

Applications will be sorted into priority grouping as follows:

1. Applicants accepted for a special programme (not applicable to Waitākiri Primary School)

2. Siblings of current students who now live out of zone

3. Siblings of former students

4. Children of former students

5. Children of board employees or board members

6. All other applicants

There will be notices sent out via Hero each term with our upcoming ballot dates. These dates are also advertised in The Press each term. Please ensure you get the application form to us on time as we are unable to accept late applications.
