Term 2, Free Zoom or in person meetings with a Mana Ake Counsellor

Mana Ake – Stronger for Tomorrow provides mental health and wellbeing support for children in primary school years 1-8 across Canterbury.

Mana Ake kaimahi (workers) are employed by one of 13 providers and support schools, families and whānau when children are experiencing issues that impact their wellbeing such as managing emotions, friendships and bullying, parental separation, grief and loss.Kaimahi have a diverse range of skills and include psychologists, social workers, counsellors, teachers and youth workers. Our Kaimahi, Reuben Scott is available for parents and staff to drop in for a quick chat via a zoom meeting. This is strictly confidential and Rueben will only pass on information with your permission. The sessions are free and are for Rueben to offer some support, advice or guidance for parents and staff. If he feels that after conversing with you some individual or group therapy would be beneficial for your child, he will, with your permission, let Cindy Hardy know to complete a request for support.Rueben will be available on Tuesday 23 May between 9.00 and 10.30. To make a30 minute booking you will need to go www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and enter the code ek6pu and your details. Rueben will then email you and if necessary will provide you with a zoom meeting link. By using zoom it means that you, your partner or any other family member can join the meeting but don’t have to travel anywhere.If you would prefer to meet in person this can be arranged at school.
