Riley and Judd from Korimako Studio proudly represented the student voice of Waitākiri at a recent Community Board meeting regarding the dangerous intersection of Burwood & Mairehau Roads. We received this message from the Board to say thanks.

Dear Riley and Judd

Thank you for attending the recent meeting of the Waitai Coastal-Burwood-Linwood Community Board. The Board was pleased to meet with you both and to receive your presentation on safety concerns at the Burwood/Mairehau Roads intersection.

The Board were extremely impressed with your presentation and will take your views into consideration whilst continuing to advocate for safety improvement at this busy intersection.

The Board also encourages the School, the School Board and parents to make submissions to the Council Long Term Plan to advocate for the works planned for this intersection brought forward. The project ID is: 2034 Burwood & Mairehau Intersection Improvement.
