Reko, Carter and Nikau were selected to represent the Canterbury Māori Rugby League team.
They travelled north to Whakatāne where they played other Māori teams from throughout New Zealand. They played 5 games and won all 5. They received medals for first place. What a great achievement boys. Well done!
