Over the last few weeks, Korimako and Ruru studios have been participating in an exciting event called cycle safety.

Cycle safety runs in blocks for two days. On the first day in the morning we all had our bikes checked by the staff and we self checked our helmets. After that we all learned the basics of being safe on the road. At the end of the day we did a quick cycle on the road and stopped halfway for a lesson. The next day the cycle safety groups spent the whole day on the road. We would stop often for lessons on how to deal with the conditions of the road, such as roundabouts, main roads and side roads. At the end of the two days, we were asked what we learned and given a map of a bunch of places we could go biking with our families. Cycle Safety was a valuable experience, and everyone involved learned so much!
