The Otago Cricket Association visited the school this week, offering free coaching sessions for every class at Wakari School.

The children enjoyed the cricket coaching sessions immensely.  They were taught a variety of skills, batting, catching, passing and fielding.  In the Year 2 Hub we had so much fun cheering our team mates on when they scored their runs.  There was some great batting and some very enthusiastic fielding.

A big thank you to Will Kindley and the team at Otago Cricket, especially to Jaden Dowling who ran such a great programme catering for our wide range of students from the Juniors to Seniors.  I know all the children had fun and picked up some new skills.
