At Wakari School we value the safety of our children as paramount.

Please, please, please be extra careful when dropping off your child (especially on wet days). It had been noted yesterday morning that several caregivers dropped off their children beside the crossing (not parked) and then waited while their child crossed. While it is commendable that your children are using the crossing, the DANGER is that other cars overtake your car and nearly bowl over your child!

Please remember that even when you are trying to do the right thing, there are other road users that don't appreciate the road rules. It may be preferable to park and then drop off your child.

Thank you for giving this your attention. We would hate for one of our kids to be seriously injured or worse.
