Waiting For A Butterfly

Judith Stanbridge —

First a tiny caterpillar and then...

A few weeks ago a tiny caterpillar and Swan plant arrived in Room 2. Every day the caterpillar grew bigger until one day it turned into a "j" shape and then a chrysalis. We were then waiting for a butterfly and sometime on Saturday morning a beautiful boy butterfly emerged. On Monday a few of the Room 2 writers chose to write butterfly stories.

This is a butterfly. The butterfly is eating a flower. The flower was a rose. The butterfly was orange. The butterfly went to a forest to find his friends and he found them in a bird's nest. There was a bird in the nest. The bird was pecking on them but the bird didn't mean to do it 'cos' they were just trying to say hello.  Lucy
