Year 4 Museum Sleepover

Anna Ollerenshaw —

Last week the Year 4  children spent a night at the Otago Museum. They left school at 2:30pm and caught a bus to the Otago Museum. Firstly, bags were dropped off and the children had some afternoon tea. Then off they went to explore the museum. The first activity was a scavenger hunt of ancient Greece, Egypt and Rome. In teams they acted a story from these areas. Next up was time in Discovery Centre exploring all the games and doing activities. Tea was delicious pizza, then off to learn  about prehistoric animals. Once everyone had made their beds in Discovery Centre they were taken on a mystery walk through the museum. After a yummy breakfast they were all lucky enough to spend some time exploring the wonderful butterfly house. It was a fabulous camp enjoyed by all. Many thanks to all the parents who gave up their time to come and spend the night at museum.
