Wakari School Ukulele Jam

David Waddell —

On November 11, all of the Wakari School ukulele players came together for our very own Ukulele Jam!

Uke Jam!!!

We had a Wakari Ukulele Jam 3 weeks ago. The middle syndicate also came and we played some songs with them such as Riptide and Banaha. After that, the juniors came and we played Dr. Knickerbocker and Wimoweh. Then Mr Waddell went to do a job. Slash from Gun's and Roses came and played Sweet Child of Mine with us. After that we ended with the Seagull Song.

School Uke Jam

3 Weeks ago, we had our Wakari School Ukulele Jam. First it was the middles and seniors then 30 minutes later the juniors came. We started with "Riptide" and with the juniors we played "Wimoweh". Suddenly, Mr Waddell had to go do a "job". Our very last song was "Sweet Child of Mine" and we had a special guest! Slash from Gun's and Roses A.K.A Mr Waddell came. He had a spiky black wig and a big brown coat. He played his electric guitar and did some of the picking. We all really enjoyed it and I'd definitely do it again.

Uke Jam

The Ukulele Jam was really fun. The juniors, middles and Slash came when Mr Waddell went to do a very urgent "secret job". Before this, the Nukes came to school. We played a couple of songs with them and they helped us with new techniques. After that, we showed the whole school our songs. Part way through our jam the juniors came. We played the songs they're learning and then the famous Slash came in when Mr Waddell left for the "top secret emergency". We played his top song "Sweet Child of Mine". He left after that and Mr Waddell came back. It was really fun. We were singing famous Sweet Child of Mine, I'm Yours, Overpass Graffiti and much more. My favourite part was when the juniors came because they were learning too.

November Uke Jam

The Uke Jam was fun. Slash came but it was Mr Waddell who said he went to do a secret job. It all started a few weeks earlier when the Nukes came over and we practised 2 or 3 times and then we performed for the school. At the jam, the juniors came over and they sang with us. They sang Wimoweh and Dr Knickerbocker with us and then they left to their classrooms. We were still playing for a little bit after that.
