Teacher Exchange a week to remember

Chris Smith —

You may have seen a different face learning alongside your children this week.

As mentioned in the last newsletter, this week we have had our first teacher exchange week where our Buddy classes swapped for a couple of days. It has been fun getting out and about and seeing relationships and understandings growing across our school. As a staff, we will reflect next week around key learnings and the value of the exchange.

Our school calendar continues to fill and I thank those parents who are giving up their time to support the excellent opportunities our children are receiving. Thanks especially to the 22 parent helpers who attended camp last week at Waiora in trying conditions. Thanks also to the Senior Syndicate staff for all the effort that goes into the preparation and completion of a camp.

Please see an article in this publication around class allocation for 2020.

Our office will begin to sell keys to our parents for the pool around the middle of next week. We will put a post out shortly in regards to this. We have been lucky enough to secure funding from the Lion Foundation and the Otago Community Trust for our latest pool upgrade. Both Trusts have contributed $30,000 and we would like to thank them for their generosity.

Enjoy the weather that is slowly improving and if I can be of assistance please let me know.

Kind regards,

Chris
