Time for a well-earned break for our tamariki

Chris Smith —

What a time to be a Kiwi, enjoy the fact we are out and about.

In the dozen years I have been a principal, I could have never imagined a time as we have just lived through. I know I will not be alone in these thoughts but as I sit in my privileged position I am so proud of our community. Please take some time to reflect upon the achievements of our country and your children, we are by no means out of the woods and the effects of lockdown will be felt for years to come but do enjoy the small pleasures that we have available to us that seemed so far away just a few months ago.

Planning for term 3 is well underway as our Hills Cluster collectively tackle the Hospital rebuild. This will culminate in some displays that I am sure you will want to see, keep an eye out for dates.

Our school cross country will be held on Monday 27 July then those selected will continue to the Hills Cluster Cross Country to be held at the Kaikorai Rugby Club on Tuesday 4 August. I look forward to seeing our usual high turnout of support for the children on the 2nd Monday of the term.

Reports came home in bags yesterday afternoon and parent-teacher interviews will be held in week 4 next term. Again information will be forthcoming next term.

If I can be of any assistance do drop in to see me.

Ma tini ma mano ka rapa te whai.

By many, by thousands, the work will be accomplished.

Have a great break.

Chris
