Literacy Quiz

Caroline Brown —

Four avid readers represented Wakari recently at a Literacy Quiz held at Dunedin North Intermediate. There were some tricky questions but the Wakari team did really well. Thanks to Alyce Wilson and Kathy Phillips for helping on the day by getting the team there and back, plus marking questions.

At the literacy quiz there were 100 questions put into 10 sections. Some of the sections were about lions, monsters, machines and more. By Jack S

The Literacy Quiz was really fun. To practice we went to the school and public libraries to read books and study. Some of the quiz questions were tricky but some weren't. The category about lions was fairly easy and lucky for us we chose to double our points. By Finn

On Monday I did a literacy quiz. There were 100 questions. We were there for 3 hours.  We answered about 40% to 60% of the questions right. I really enjoyed it.      BY Tommy W.

I had an incredible time at the literacy quiz. Some of the questions were challenging but I think we did great. It was a great experience.
