Last Sunday our Kapa Haka group, Tikanga Wakari, were invited to perform at the Flagstaff Community Church Matariki Celebration.  

Our students did a fabulous job representing Wakari School at a Matariki Festival held at the  local Flagstaff Community Church last Sunday.  Our group (who were from our Tuakana Kapa Haka group - the older student group), performed three songs to a very appreciative audience.  There were some former Wakari School students and staff in the audience and they just loved seeing the current Wakari students in action, doing their school proud.  Ka mau te wehi! (Awesome work!)
