It's been a fun-filled term of learning during our Friday Project sessions. Here's a snippet of what we've been up to.

I really like Friday project because we can be really creative. But what makes it so good is also there are lots of groups so whether you like scripting or cooking there’s something for you. Lastly there’s an awesome group where you go outside the school with the outdoor ED group!   - Josh G.                    

For Friday Project I am in the movie making group. So every Friday I have to go on a website called Kapwing and make a short movie. My friend Josh,Tamāti and I are going to make a lego parkour stop motion. First I had to make a movie about camera angles and I made my own one about a battle. I like it because I have learnt some stuff I hadn’t known before.  - Ethan

Recently we’ve been making comic books. My comic book is about a Monster Academy. It is really fun to do and it’s so easy too! I really can’t wait until we publish them - Lexi

I’m in the Makerspace group and I am doing a Mario game without technology. All you need is pens, paper and cardboard. Mario is a famous video game character. In my game you use bottle tops to move Mario and spin the background - Claudia

I’m doing drama, we are doing a Wizard of Oz play. I’m a Munchkin. We are all going to dress up, it is going to be so much fun! The characters are Oz, Tin Man, Toto, Scarecrow, Munchkins, Dorothy, Witches, narrators, Lion, guards and the audience - Lani

I’m in the drama group. My part is Toto in the Wizard of Oz in scenes 1 and 2. I also do a play in the break. I love my part and I am excited - Liz

I am in the Movie Making group. I made a movie with Tom. It was some racing cars racing and doing drifts. We put on some hip hop music with it - Nathan

My project is clay. For the past few weeks we have been watching videos to inspire us on what to make. Last week I made a jewellery dish. It is really fun - Holly

I chose to do coding in Scratch. I made four projects in Scratch, all coded, and I’m really proud of them. They are all original and I didn’t need any tutorials for most of them - Miggy

We have been making stop motion animations mostly made on Clickchamp and Kapwing. Throughout the term we have made movies with tips like camera shots and how directors make movies - Gabby

In the clay group we have made bees, flowers, turtles, pots and faces. We used tools to make these and we have had lots of fun - Liam B

I am doing Lego challenges. Last Friday we made a city. I made an army base and my friends made skyscrapers, a jail and more. It was very fun - Coop D

My friday project group is the drama group. We are doing a play called the Wizard of Oz. I am Dorothy for the second half and Milly is Dorothy for the first half. Sometime next term we are performing it at the school hall. We are going to be wearing costumes and making props. - Johanna
