On Saturday the 16th of September some of the Wakari school students participated in a Rippa rugby game at the stadium.

They got to run out onto the field before the game and wave to the crowd. Here is what some of the girls said.”We got to go into special changing sheds and get changed” “We were nervous and excited at the same time when we were running out with the team” explained the girls. “It was cool to be with the Otago team and we wish we could do it again” They drew 2-2 Roree and Amelia scored the tries they played against St Clair. They got signatures after the game. “Overall they had a great time”.
