Our five relay teams that have qualified for the Otago Athletic Champs have been doing everything they can to prepare for next Tuesday.  

On Tuesday the 1st of November 35 Wakari school students participated in the North Zone Sports Athletics Day. The students put many weeks of training into their events. All the students did an amazing job and tried their best and Wakari ended up having one of their most successful years to date. We had five relay teams make it through, two high-jumpers, three Sprinters and two long-jumpers. They will be going through to the Otago sports day on Tuesday the 15th of November. I participated in the 800 metres along with Anya Clark and Olivia Thorn. I didn't place in the top six but ran my best. Overall Wakari School had a very successful day.
