Friday Project visits to the Anatomy Museum and Toitu.

Caroline Brown —

For the Friday Project Science group we went to the Anatomy Museum. We saw someone's head chopped into two pieces on the left side. We saw the intestines and on the right we saw his lungs - they had blue lines which indicated he was a smoker. We also saw lots of body parts in a room. Ty got to hold an ox's heart, touch a brain and an eye socket . We saw a brain that had something like a wet cloth around it. They said it was some stuff that protects the brain.  We saw a liver that was big. The man said that that indicated that the man was likely to be obese.

Thank you Nancy and Wade for taking us on this trip.

In First Aid so far we have learnt c.p.r and to stop bleeding by putting pressure on the cut. We have also learnt about the skeleton. We got to visit the Anatomy Museum to learn about the body and different body part. We enjoyed visiting the museum but there were some very odd things there.
