Remaining positive is key for our kids

Chris Smith —

Not the news that we were hoping for this week.

The ramped-up information from the government earlier in the week had the feeling that a second wave was inevitable and unfortunately as we are all aware this has now happened. As stated previously the school will be following the key controls laid out by the Ministry of Health:

The key controls for schools and all workplaces are:

  • ensure people with COVID-19 symptoms or feeling generally unwell stay away from school

  • maintain physical distancing (in schools this means children, young people, and staff maintaining a physical distance so that they are not breathing on or touching each other)

  • enable good hygiene practices

  • keep track of people that enter your school

Please keep positive with your children around what may lay ahead. We will communicate through our normal portals, if you have not signed up to our newsletter email tree click here.

Thanks so much for the support around parent-teacher interviews. 94% of our community attended interviews this time around. Having honest conversations around our tamariki are crucial for their learning and well-being.

As always if I can be of assistance please pop in to see me.

Kind regards

Chris
