Great time had by all, finding hidden treasures in the school garden!

Last week was the first time in a while that the school Garden Group were able to work in the garden. It has been very wet up there and lots of weeds had grown. We decided to give the garden a good tidy up before putting in new plants in the Spring. We put on our gloves and started digging. 

To our surprise we started finding lots of carrots and then yams! Everyone had so much fun digging them up and putting them in the container. The yams were a beautiful pinky yellow colour and some of the carrots were enormous!

Next week we will eat some of the vegetables that we grew.
