Some Year 6 students and a Middle Syndicate team took part in the Rippa Rugby Tournament in May.

The weather shone for the occasion and the teams displayed fairplay and commitment. Well done to the Wakari Warriors, Wakari Wolves, Wakari Wildcats and and Wakari Wizards for a great day out.

Thank you to the parent helpers who attended, managed and coached teams, these events couldn't happen without your help.

I loved rippa rugby because I got to do sports all day and because everyone worked well together. I was in the Wakari Warriors team. We worked well as a team. We won all of our three games. I'm not quite sure how the other teams got on, but they all had fun.The Warriors got into the semi finals, but we lost. It was really fun and we all enjoyed it I think. I really enjoyed Rippa Rugby because the Wakari Warriors worked really well with each other especially communicating well, also nobody complained about going off for subs they just went off. In the future if you are a Year 6 I recommend doing the rippa rugby. One other thing I was really exited about was we won all three of our games then we tied in the quarter finals but they got the last try which was disappointing but we managed!
