The Enviro Kids make Muesli Bars

Lynda Bardwell —

We decided that we would like to try and make homemade muesli bars as we thought it would be a good way to cut down on all the rubbish that you get if you buy a box of them from the supermarket. One box and 6 wrappers means 7 pieces of rubbish which might end up the dump!

Here is the super easy recipe-

Melt together 100 grams of butter and 1/2 cup of honey.

Add 1/2 cup apricots, coconut and sultanas.

         1 3/4 cups rolled oats

         1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

          a pinch of salt.

Mix it all together.

Press into a lined tray with the back of a spoon. Bake for about 25 minutes at 170c. When you take it out of the oven, press it down again with the back of a spoon.

Leave to cool for a couple of hours in the tray in the fridge. Cut into bars.

We hope that you have a go at making your own muesli bars. They are easy to make, and they taste amazing!
