Hunting For A Lion

Judith Stanbridge —

Mrs Stanbridge heard a roaring sound on her way home. What could it be?

The children came up with many ideas of what made the roaring sound. We then decided we would go on a hunt to find out who was making the noise.  A list was made of what we would need to take, it included food, water, a net and binoculars.  All the children had to create binoculars out of 2 pieces of paper and some tape.  It was awesome to see all the varying designs and how the children approached the task.  Once everyone had made binoculars we sneaked up to the top field and began hunting. Eventually we found a lion hiding in the knot of a tree.  We all sat outside Rooms 14-16 and ate our apples before heading back to our Hub.
