Our Visual Art topics this term were Portraits and an Artist Study. Room 3 chose Freda Kahlo and created these amazing portraits inspired by her work.

When Frida was 6 she was in hospital for a long time recovering from polio. Later on in her life she also spent a long time in hospital as she was involved in a car accident. While in hospital she took photos of herself and painted over them. She also just painted pictures of herself in bed. She always used bright colours in her paintings and often people had flowers in their hair.
