Rooms 2 and 3 Art Gallery Visit

Judith Stanbridge —

23 very excited 5 year olds boarded a bus bound for the Art Gallery.

The adventure started with an early morning tea and parent helpers arriving. Then it was off in the bus. Once we were in the Gallery John showed the children lots of real portraits in various parts of the Gallery. A ride in an oversized lift to the classroom added to their experience. Children started drawing their portraits by drawing their eyes and facial features first. The portraits were stuck onto coloured paper, window frames were coloured in and flowers drawn. Children then picked a cat to go in their garden before their house was stuck together by our parent helpers. Their pieces are amazing and can be seen in Rooms 2 and 3.
