Senior Syndicate Swimming.

Anna Hartley —

Senior Syndicate students have been enjoying going to Moana Pool this term for swimming lessons.

The senior syndicate have been doing swimming for the past four weeks. We were split into nine swimming groups.

Each Monday morning we left at school at 10.00am and started to swim at 10.30am. In one group they did the diving and they got to do bubbles at the end of term. There was also a snorkelling group and there was a group who did all the different types of styles and strokes. One group would rotate around 2 different pools.

In the Senior Syndicate we have been swimming. There were 9 groups. Their names were Dolphins, Starfish, Whales, Sharks, Stingrays, Barracudas, Piranhas, Tunas and Swordfish.

We had 4 weeks of swimming at Moana Pool. There was a shallow end, a deep end and a diving pool. There was diving in the diving pool, stroke development in the deep pool and snorkelling, stroke development and life jackets in the shallow pool, as well as aqua pass.

On the last day Whales and Dolphins were diving and at the end of the diving session Mrs Brown turned on the bubble machine and it made a lot of bubbles which came out from the top.

We enjoyed life jackets  because I'd never worn them before and the diving because I could learn different styles of diving.
