Super Start to Term Three for Rooms 12 and 13 Hub.

Anna Lawson —

The Rooms 12 and 13 Hub have had a great start to the Term. It was lovely to see all the smiling faces on the first day, even with the torrential rain it didn't dampen our spirits.

This term we are exploring the Commonwealth community, with a major focus on the Commonwealth games. We are going to be exploring a couple of countries in the Commonwealth, and find out about their celebrations, food, dance, music and way of life. We are also going to be looking at the New Zealand athletes at the Commonwealth games, with a special focus this week on Sophie Pascoe.

We are also very lucky this term to be staring Ukuleles with Mrs Gribben.  The children were so excited to have their first lesson on Monday, we can already see some budding stars.

Pip is back this term to work with the children on alternative Thursday mornings, running some animation projects. She will also be working with a small group of children on a Wednesday morning doing some fun enrichment projects. This week they got to make lights work using copper and their own imaginations.

The children are focussed and ready to learn, Mrs Bonney and I just know it's going to be a great term.
