Earlier this term Room 11 spent some time studying the artworks of Reuben Patterson who is a New Zealand artist.

We especially liked one of his pieces called "The Wharenui which Dad Built" which he created using paint and glitter. We decided that we would use some of his ideas to make our own panels which we then  joined with our classmates to make collaborative artworks. They were made using pastels and glitter. We tried really hard to use repeating Maori patterns in our patterns.  We are very proud of our finished pieces.
