Our big book, My Home, we use at shared reading time, inspired us to write about our home.

The children in Room 1 have written a great story about their home. They have been focusing on using finger spaces and trying really hard at sounding out and writing down what sounds they can hear. They really enjoyed sharing what colour door they have or the number on their mailbox. I think the children are fantastic authors. Do you?
